Charles Moskos is professor emeritus of sociology at Northwestern University. He was born in Chicago of Greek immigrant parents. He received his B.A. at Princeton University in 1956. In 1963, following his military service as a draftee in the combat engineers, he attended the UCLA where he received his Ph.D.

Professor Moskos is the author of several best-selling books and of articles in prestigious periodicals. Areas of interest include military sociology, race/ethnic/minority relations, and Greek Americans. He is also the author of Greek Americans - Struggle and Success, which, together with the late Theïdore Saloutos' The Greeks in the United States, represents one of the two seminal books on the history of the Greek immigrants in the US. His work has been translated into 17 languages. In addition, Moskos is the architect of the National Service and Citizenship Act of 1989 developed by the Democratic Leadership Council. He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Science)

At Lincoln Blvd. turn left and go to LMU Drive where you turn left again. The Security Guard at the Gate will direct you to the MaloneStudentCenter and where to park.
