"Adouloti Mani" will be the theme of a lecture hosted by the Society of Lacones on Monday, May 9, 2005 at 5pm at Drivas Hall of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Saco, Maine. Following the group's regular meeting, the public and the entire church community are invited to attend a talk given by Mary Papoutsy titled, "Adouloti Mani Chronicled by Writers, Artists and Photographers."

Papoutsy will discuss the photograph collection of internationally acclaimed photographer Vourlitis, depicted in the album, A Picture Bible of Mani, as well as the sketches of Parkins and the travels of Liddell and Fermor. All admire Mani, fascinated by her timelessness, and left pictorial and written accounts of their journeys through this rugged and historical country.
