The Hellenic News of America Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Please SAVE THE DATE November 11, 2007 for the 20th Anniversary of the HNA and plan to join all of us at The Hellenic News of America in our unique celebration. It is the continuing support of organizations, businesses and prominent individuals that have helped us reach this most important milestone. The big celebration will take place on Sunday November 11, 2007 at the Concordville Inn – Best Western Hotel & Conference Center, in Concordville, PA at 5:00 PM The twentieth anniversary commemorative issue will take a look back at how we, as a newspaper and a community, have progressed since our beginning in 1987. Our initial goals were to promote, support, and keep you informed about national issues that pertain to Hellenic-American interests and to maintain our Hellenic identity. Today more than ever we need to work more intensively towards the perpetuation of our traditions and our youth. For this reason we have established an Independed Scholarship Committee ( Dr. Dimitri Monos, Dr. Peter Yiannos, Dr. Dean Lomis, Dr. Yiannis Lambris, Steven Poulathas, Esq., Chris Christakis, Alex Hionis, Andy Economou, Andy Kamaratos, Pete Pashalis, Emmanuel Petrogiannis, Dr. George Tsetsekos, Dr. Michael Papaioannou, Tom Papadopoulos, Rev. Nektarios Kotrotsios, John Lois, John sarkioglou..) that will be giving out the Hellenic News of America scholarships to qualified individuals and vibrant members of our community in the 5 State Area. Starting the Hellenic News of america with a donation of $1,000 every year towards this project, we encourage our friends to do the same and establish your own scholarship that will be given to needy and qualified students every year at this Dinner. You're also invited to participate in the festivities, the Dinner Awards & Entertainment and in the commemorative Journal in support of the Hellenic News of America, to ensure the strong continuation in the future. We would be honored to feature your letter of support to the Hellenic News of America in our Commemorative Journal too, click here for samples of letters received (pdf file).
